Trump declared in ‘excellent health’ after annual physical at Walter Reed

President Donald Trump is in “excellent health,” his doctor said in a memo released Friday following his annual physical earlier this week.
The report comes after Trump had his annual physical at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on Tuesday.
“President Donald Trump remains in excellent health, exhibiting strong cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and overall physical function,” Navy Capt. Sean P. Barbabella, the president’s physician, wrote in the memo.
“His demanding daily schedule, which includes numerous high-level meetings, public appearances and regular physical activity, continues to support his overall well-being,” Barbabella continued. “Cognitive and physical performance are excellent.”

“He is fully equipped to fulfill all the duties of the Commander-in-Chief and the Head of State,” he said.
The evaluation included diagnostic studies, laboratory testing, and consultations with 22 expert providers.
Trump, who will turn 80 in June, is 75 inches tall and weighs 238 pounds. According to the report, the resting heart rate is 73 beats per minute, the blood pressure reading is 105/71 mmHg, and the oxygen saturation level on room air is 98%.

No significant health problems were detected during the examination.
Barbabella noted that Trump has a scar on his right ear from a bullet wound he received during an assassination attempt in 2024.
The doctor also reported that there was slight swelling in the lower leg, which had improved compared to last year.

According to the report, Trump underwent a neurological examination, including a cognitive screening, showing “normal mental status” and received a score of 30 out of 30.
Barbabella also noted that the bruising on the president’s hand was “consistent with mild soft tissue irritation due to frequent handshaking in the setting of aspirin use for cardiovascular protection.”
The doctor reported that there was no significant abnormality in Trump’s laboratory results.

It was also emphasized in his medical history that Trump “avoided tobacco and alcohol throughout his life.”
According to the statement, Trump is currently taking three medications: Rosuvastatin and Ezetimibe for cholesterol control and aspirin for cardiovascular prevention.
