‘Social Media Has Become Hectic’
Vaani Kapoor makes his OTT for the first time with the mandala murders, a mythological crime thriller filled with secrets, myths and murder. In the launch of the trailer, Vaani opened the character about the difference between the films and the difference between OTT and shared his views on increasing negativity on social media.
His words about online hate are linked to his last reaction to work with Pakistani Actor Fawad Khan in his brother Gulaal.
Vaani addressed the online toxic atmosphere without directing anyone to anyone:
“Over the last few months, social media has become hectic and heavy. I hope people can calm down on hatred and create space for love and kindness. It may not seem exciting, but what you give will return to you.
He talked about the OTT exit, “I didn’t say yes, it didn’t take long. I saw Gopi [Puthran] Sir’s work and connect with it. This story is challenging with complex written characters. In the films, we only have 2-3 hours to reflect a character broadcast, but in OTT, the character is slowly and more deeply developing. “
“I love the action. Not high octane here, but realistic. We worked hard on the body language to shape the character and provide consistency between the chapters. Long format allows the character to travel slowly and grow, this is exciting for me.”
