Emphasizing human and artificial intelligence cooperation, Prime Minister Modi said, “We are entering an era where humans and intelligent systems create together, work together and develop together.” he said.
Before Prime Minister Modi’s speech, French President Emmanuel Macron made his speech. In his speech, French Pesident said that the purpose of this summit is not just to say let’s do more, but to say let’s do better together.
He added: “Artificial intelligence can be a powerful productivity accelerator and a big change for labor markets. That’s why access to AI for everyone is critical. France and India share a common vision. A sovereign AI deployed to protect our planet and improve the well-being of everyone. Last year in Paris, we called it action. This year in Delhi, we called it impact. But its real name is simpler, AI together. AI and digitalization will be the main theme of the coming months.”
Prime Minister Modi’s remarks came after a family photo of leaders attending the India AI Impact summit. More than 500 leaders from the field of artificial intelligence are attending the summit.
Following the inauguration, Prime Minister Modi will attend the Leaders’ General Assembly at around 12 noon, which will bring together Heads of State, ministers and senior officials from multilateral organizations to discuss national and global AI priorities covering governance, infrastructure and international cooperation.
The Prime Minister will then participate in the CEO roundtable from 17:30, bringing together senior executives of global technology and industrial companies with government leaders to discuss AI investment, research partnerships, supply chains and systems deployment.
The world’s largest artificial intelligence summit, inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi in New Delhi on February 16, saw significant global participation. The event brings together more than 500 AI leaders, including CEOs and CXOs, nearly 100 founders and senior executives, 150 academics and researchers, and nearly 400 CTOs, vice presidents and philanthropists. It also includes more than 100 government representatives from around the world, including more than 20 Heads of State and Government and approximately 60 ministers and deputy ministers.
