South Australia’s Liberals face oblivion without progressive voters

It’s hard to believe the South Australian Liberals are in power in this state, albeit in minority form, in early 2022. After Saturday and the possible loss of nine seats, their representation in parliament could fall to just five; but preference flows between Labour, Liberal, One Nation and independents may throw up some surprises. The fact that Liberal leader Ashton Hurn declared five seats a victory of sorts because some “experts” predicted his party would disappear completely shows the depth of the party’s misery.
