Lawyers for Susan Monarez say ‘she remains as CDC Director’, only Trump has power to ‘fire her’

“Therefore, we reject the notification of Dr. Monarez’s legally incomplete and remain as the CDC Director,” said Attorney Mark Zaid in the post, “We informed the White House lawyer’s position.”
The latest in a leadership turmoil in CDC. The statement came hours later after the White House said that he had fired Monarez after he refused to resign.
On Wednesday, at least four other medical officers said that the Department of Health and Human Services was the “CDC director of Monarez’s” CDC director in X.
Monarez, a federal government scientist for a long time He swore on July 31st. He was the first CDC director approved by the Senate after a new law that requires deputies to approve the candidates for the role after a new law adopted during his pandemi.
