Southern California mudslide triggers shelter-in-place orders

A mudslide in Southern California on Saturday triggered a natural gas explosion and led to shelter-in-place orders in the community of Castaic. Interstate 5 was closed due to safety concerns. The Los Angeles Fire Department said there is no immediate threat to the city and the Sheriff’s Department continues to assess the situation.
