M6 traffic LIVE: Crash sparks motorway closure and delays as air ambulance attends scene | UK | News

The M6 ​​in Cumbria was closed northbound between J42 and J43 (Carlisle) due to an incident at around 11.30am on Wednesday. Cumbria Police, Ambulance and Air Ambulance were alerted to an incident involving a light goods vehicle where the driver suffered a medical episode.

A section of the motorway was closed northbound while Cumbria Police remained at the scene. Traffic was also temporarily stopped in the southbound direction so that the air ambulance could land safely.
