Two people arrested after fatal incident on Carinya Street
Blacktown Police Area Commander Inspector Brendan Gorman said Seve and both men in custody were known to police and any possible underworld connections would be investigated as part of the investigation.
He said police heard gunshots as the shots were fired and arrived on the scene “within seconds,” meaning the suspects were arrested “very quickly” after the shooting.
Forensic examiners found two unloaded guns and discarded bullets outside a suburban home about 300 meters from the scene.

Eyewitness electrician Mohammed Hamdan said that when he heard five explosions, he immediately knew they were bullets.
Hamdan, who came to Sydney two years ago, said, “I am Palestinian, I am from Gaza.”
“I’ve heard this sound before, but this is the first time I’ve encountered something like this in Australia.

“The last time I heard of something like this, it was a war zone.”
Hamdan said he ate lunch at a community center just 50 meters from where the attack took place. When he heard the gunshot, he ran into the street and saw someone running away on foot.
“The sound was very loud,” he said. “I saw police cars near the entrance and someone running and jumping over the fence.”
