Sri Shakti Award Presented To Suma Kanakala In Tirupati

What are you doing? Well-known film actress and television presenter Suma Kanakala was conferred with ‘Sri Shakti Award’ by Sri Shakti Peetham as part of its sixth anniversary celebrations and annual Brahmotsavams.
He received the award from senior pastors Siddheswarananda Bharati Mahaswamy and Ramyananda Bharati Swamini during a program at the ashram in Tirupati on Wednesday.
The Sri Shakti Award is given annually to a woman who has excelled in her field and made a meaningful contribution to society. This year, Suma Kanakala was chosen for her role in raising women’s voices on public platforms and her efforts to promote Hindu Dharma.
The award was awarded on the third day of the annual celebrations.
As part of the focus on women empowerment, Peetham had earlier organized a ‘Suvasini Puja’ in which around 10,000 women participated by lighting oil lamps simultaneously. The event entered the Guinness Book of Records.
