Heavy police guard moves accused Bondi attacker Naveed Akram from hospital bed to prison cell

Naveed Akram, the alleged Bondi attacker, was transferred from hospital to prison under tight security.
Police and correctional services arrived at North Shore Hospital to remove Akram on Monday and took him to Long Bay Prison Complex in Sydney’s Malabar.
The hospital was placed on lockdown shortly before Akram was moved in a major operation involving officers from the highway patrol, PolAir and the riot squad assisting Correctional Services.
Akram will remain in court custody after he was formally denied bail last week.

The alleged Bondi attacker was placed in an induced coma last week after being shot in the stomach.
Akram woke up last Tuesday before being charged with 59 offenses for the horrific attack.
During the clash, his father Sajid Akram was shot dead by the police.
More to come.
