Star arrested on suspicion of rape

An unnamed star of Strictly Come Dancing has been arrested on suspicion of rape.
Hertfordshire Police said the man, who was arrested last month, was released on bail pending investigation.
A BBC spokesman told BBC News: “It would be inappropriate to comment on an ongoing police investigation.”
According to the Sun, the man allegedly raped a woman following an incident at the BBC.
The newspaper said the woman was not a contestant or professional dancer on the show, but met the man through her participation in the competition.
In a statement, Hertfordshire Police said: “A man arrested on suspicion of rape in London on Monday 13 October has been released on police bail pending investigation.”
Police said the allegations relate to an incident in Hertfordshire.
“In the meantime, investigations by officers from Hertfordshire Constabulary’s Public Protection team will continue.
“Given the nature of the allegations, it would be inappropriate to comment further at this time.”
It comes after another man was arrested after appearing on the popular BBC dance show on suspicion of rape in August.
The Metropolitan Police said the man was also suspected of “non-consensual intimate image exploitation”.
It is unknown what role this person has in the program.
Strictly, which has been airing since 2004 and is predominantly filmed at Elstree Studios, has faced a lot of controversy over the behavior of some professionals and celebrity guests over the last few years.
Separately, the BBC launched an investigation into alleged drug use by two unnamed stars of the show earlier this year.
In August the Met said: was investigating allegations of drug use on the popular dance show.
