Tsunami warning after magnitude 8.7 tremor hits nation’s Far Eastern Kamchatka Peninsula

The US Geology Survey said that the earthquake was shallow at a depth of 19.3 km and that Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, a 165,000 cities along the Avacha Bay, was centered on approximately 125 km east-south. It has reviewed its size before 8.0.
