Dhurandhar has been on an unstoppable, record-breaking run for the last two weeks and has already crossed the Rs 1,100 crore mark at the global box office and the Rs 700 crore mark in India. Ranveer Singh-led Dhurandhar broke yet another milestone in its fourth weekend from Friday, December 26 to Sunday, December 28, by raking in a staggering Rs 61.90 crore in just three days. However, it became the highest-grossing Hindi film ever in its fourth weekend, easily surpassing the previous record held by the Hindi dubbed version of Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2, which collected Rs 30 crore in the same period.
Sharing the box office stats on his social media handles, veteran trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote, “HISTORIC *WEEKEND 4* – DHURANDHAR SETTING A NEW BOX. Dhurandhar broke yet another all-time record as the highest-grossing Hindi film in Weekend 4. Let’s take a look at the top scorers of *Weekend 4* – Dhurandhar: Rs 61.90 cr, Pushpa 2 Hindi: Rs 30 cr, Chhaava: Rs 28.43 cr and Stree 2: Rs 25.01 cr. The journey towards the ₹ 800 cr milestone has already begun and if the current trend continues, there is no telling where the *lifetime job* will end up.”
Dhurandhar follows Indian undercover intelligence agent Ranveer Singh’s Jaskirat Singh Rangi, who adopts the alias Hamza Ali Mazari to infiltrate the Pakistani underworld in Karachi’s Lyari and eliminate the dangerous nexus between gangsters, terrorists and politicians. Inspired by real life, the film adds a layer of gritty realism to the narrative by drawing chilling parallels with events such as the hijacking of IC-814, the 2001 Parliament attack and the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. Continuing its huge success, Dhurandhar Part 2: The Revenge will be released worldwide on March 19, 2026, coinciding with Eid, Gudi Padwa and Ugadi.

The sequel is set for a high-stakes box office showdown with pan-India period gangster epic Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, which marks Yash’s much-awaited return to the big screen after 2022’s underwhelming KGF: Chapter 2. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film boasts of a strong female-led cast featuring Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, HumaQureshi and Tara. Sutaria. Adding to the crowded release list, action drama Dacoit, starring Adivi Sesh, Mrunal Thakur and Anurag Kashyap, will also hit theaters on March 19, setting the stage for a fierce three-way clash.
