New BBC director general Matt Brittin warns that ‘tough choices are unavoidable’

“There’s a real clock on it because one of the things that scares me the most is when people say, ‘We’re going to miss the BBC when it’s gone’. I’ll definitely miss it and you’ll definitely miss it too, but I’m not sure our kids or their kids will miss it because they don’t have nostalgia around the BBC.”
