Stephanie Ruhle Blown Away When Speaker Johnson Says Women Can’t Mentally ‘Compartmentalize’
MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle He couldn’t believe his ears when he heard the speaker mike johnson (R-LA) and his wife offered some retrospective thoughts about women’s brains.
In Friday’s issue 11th HourRuhle published part of the interview with the speaker and his wife kelly johnson I did it with Katie Miller last month. During the interview, Mike Johnson said that women cannot be “compartmentalized” mentally. The speaker’s wife agrees:
MIKE JOHNSON: Men and women are different in this respect; Men can compartmentalize some things.
KELLY JOHNSON: The male brain is like a waffle.
MIKE JOHNSON: Yes.
KELLY JOHNSON: They have little compartments, and they can think about one little compartment at a time and close it. And men actually have a compartment with nothing in it. So I asked him, “What do you think?” And he says, “Nothing,” seriously.
MIKE JOHNSON: He means it.
KELLY JOHNSON: He’s not really thinking about anything.
KATIE MILLER: Doesn’t he think like the Roman Empire?
KELLY JOHNSON: Yes.
MIKE JOHNSON: There’s that too.
KELLY JOHNSON: There’s that too.
MIKE JOHNSON: There’s a whole compartment.
KELLY JOHNSON: But women, we can’t do that. We are always thinking. In fact, our brain is like spaghetti.

But this is the speaker of the Parliament. But this points to what we have heard; GOP members and congresswomen saying. “Part of it is Mike Johnson’s beliefs, the way he views women, their place in society, these women in Congress who feel like they’re being treated less than because of their views.” And I don’t know, I don’t communicate with him. But when I watch an interview like this, I start to think they’re onto something.
