Steps likely to safeguard FCV tobacco farmers

New Delhi: The ministry of commerce and industry on Sunday said the government is examining appropriate measures to protect the interests of flue treatment Virginia (FCV) tobacco farmers after a team from the ministry visited Andhra Pradesh on July 25 to review the market situation.
During the visit, discussions were held on exploring long-term measures to protect the interests of FCV tobacco producers and ensure stability in the industry.
