Steve Bannon said Trump ‘will be President for third term in 2029’ as he shares shock plan | World | News

A key ally of Donald Trump says the US President will be re-elected in 2029 despite the US Constitution limiting leaders to two terms.

In a resurfaced clip from 2025 that was widely shared on social media, Bannon said: “We’re working on 5 or 6 different alternatives for how Trump could run again and be president… As of the afternoon of January 20, 2029, I continue to say: Donald Trump “He will be president for a third term.”

The clip is being shared at a time when Trump’s allies are hinting that the President could defy the Constitution and run again in 2028.

Franklin Graham, President and CEO of Samaritan’s Purse, spoke at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) this week and urged attendees to “do what we can” to help President Trump get re-elected.

He later said he “misspoke” at the event.

At an event in Corpus Christi, Texas, last month, President Trump hinted that he might run for a third term.

“Do it for another term. Well, we have the right to do so,” he said.

At this week’s CPAC event, ‘TRUMP 2028’ hats were even being sold at the merchandise stands.
