Sensex today | Stock Market LIVE Updates today, Thursday, February 12, 2026: Stock markets traded lower on Thursday amid selling pressure in information technology (IT) stocks.
BSE Sensex index decreased by 305 points or 0.36 percent at 83,928 points, while Nifty50 decreased by 81 points or 0.31 percent at 25,873 levels.
More than 30 stocks in the Nifty50 index were trading with losses, weighed down by Infosys (down 3.5 per cent), Tech M, HCL Tech, TCS, Wipro, Eternal, IndiGo, M&M, SBI Life, HDFC Life, Hindalco and Titan Company. On the upside, ONGC, ICICI Bank, NTPC, Eicher Motors, Axis Bank, Power Grid, Coal India and HUL gave some support.
In the broader market, the Nifty MidCap index fell 0.78 percent while the Nifty SmallCap index fell 0.98 percent.
Among the sectors, the worst affected sector was Nifty IT, with a decrease of 3.75 percent. Apart from this, Nifty Pharma and PSU Bank indices fell by 0.5 percent. Nifty Private Bank index and Nifty FMCG index gained 0.1 percent.
Hindustan Unilever, ONGC, Hindustan Aeronautics, Coal India, Hindalco Industries, Muthoot Finance, Lupin, Indian Hotel Company, Bharat Forge, Biocon Abbott India, IRCTC, PI Industries, Petronet LNG, 3M India, Gujarat Flurochemicals, Endurance Technologies, Crisil, Indraprashta Gas, Deepak Nitrite, KIOCL, Schneider Electric Infrastructure, Aditya Infotech, EID Parry (India), Travel Food Services, Natco Pharma, Fine Organics Industries, Vedant Fashions, Inox India and others will report their quarterly earnings today.
