Arthur’s Seat fire: Crews battling blaze at iconic Scottish landmark as witnesses tell of ‘visitors fleeing hill on foot’

A large fire exploded in Arthur’s chair in Edinburgh, sending smoke clouds into the air in the afternoon.

Flames at the point of beauty can be seen for miles along the Scottish capital.

Scottish Fire Department and Rescue Service Spokesman Daily registration Police advise Scotland to avoid the region to drivers and pedestrians, while the crew continues.

A spokesman said: “The crew, Edinburgh, Holyrood Park, is joining an open fire in the Arthur Cape.

He continued: “Since we have received a series of calls for this event, the members of the people do not need to warn our operation control room about this fire.”
