Strong winds are expected to cause chaos in Northern Ireland, with the Met Office issuing a new weather warning. The forecaster stated that winds of 60-70 mph will affect the east of Northern Ireland, while winds of 75 mph are possible in coastal areas, adding that “winds of this strength coming from the east are unusual and will likely be effective.”

A yellow warning for wind has been issued for the east coast of NI from 5am to 9pm on Tuesday 27 January. Additionally, a yellow rain and wind warning was issued for the entire country on Tuesday.
