Why is Stranger Things released in three parts?

Speaking to SFX Magazine, Ross Duffer explained that previous season splits, such as Season 4, were the result of pandemic-related delays. However, this time the decision was made long in advance. “We didn’t know it would be split into two in Season Four,” he said, adding that the situation had nothing to do with the OTT platform.

“But this time we knew we were going to split it in half, so it’s actually split in two. Volume One really exists as its own mega movie. It has its own climax,” he quoted.

‘Stranger Things’, which was first released in 2016, quickly became a global phenomenon. We owe this to the magic that blends the sci-fi genre with 1980s nostalgia, gripping story or impressive performances; the series became an instant hit. After the first season in 2016, season 2 came in 2017 and the next episode was released on OTT in 2019. ‘Stranger Things Season 4’ was released in two parts in 2022 and now the final episode of the sci-fi is airing as the curtains close in 2025.
