Brazil’s former president Bolsonaro found guilty of coup plot
BBCJair Bolsonaro, former President of Brazil, was convicted of planning a military coup.
Three of the five Supreme Court justice was found guilty of leading a conspiracy aimed at keeping him in power after he lost his 70 -year -old 2022 election to his left -wing rival Luiz Inácio Lula Da Silva.
Although the land did not get enough support to continue from the army, it resulted in the storm of government buildings by Bolsonaro’s supporters on January 8, 2023.
A justice acquitted Bolsonaro, and the last one has not yet voted, but the simple majority is enough to condemn the former president who may now face for decades of imprisonment. He will be sentenced to Friday.
