Student killed in road accident in Annamayya

An engineering student died and another was seriously injured when his motorcycle crashed into a roadside electric pole on the Rajampeta-Rayachoti road in Kuchuvaripalli village of Rajampeta division in Annamayya district. The deceased was identified as Mahendra, a first-year B.Tech student at a private engineering college from Kovelakuntla in Nandyal district. Police said the students were returning from Balarajupalle bridge after taking photos when the accident occurred. A case has been registered and further investigation is ongoing.
