A Sukhoi 30 MKI fighter jet of the Indian Air Force (IAF) crashed in Assam’s Karbi Anglong district, about 60 km from Jorhat, the Indian Air Force said on Thursday, March 5, 2026. The IAF said in a statement that search operations are continuing.
In the early hours of Thursday, a Sukhoi 30 MKI fighter jet of the Indian Air Force (IAF) reportedly disappeared from radar contact after taking off from eastern Assam’s Jorhat.
