Summer camp boys aged eight to 11 ‘were given sweets laced with sedatives’ – as man, 76, appears in court on child cruelty charges

A court was given desserts in a child’s summer camp with desserts connected to soothe in a suspicious poisoning.

Jon Ruben76 was accused of child persecution this morning at the Leicester Magistrates ‘Court of Magistrates’ Court and was detained.

The Royal Prosecutor’s Office said he had been accused of three crimes in deliberate ill -treatment of a child about three boys.

The court was told that he was about the desserts allegedly connected to sedatives in the summer camp in Leicestershire between July 25 and July 29.

On Sunday, the police reported that the children in Stathern Lodge in Canal Land were ill.

Police said that all men between the ages of eight and 11 years were taken to hospital as a precaution but were discharged.

Wearing a gray sweatshirt on the quay, the defendant spoke to confirm his name, date of birth and address during a four -minute hearing.

Ruben was told by the president of the magistrate Elizabeth Needham on August 29th in Leicester Crown Court.
