Ukrainian pair charged with smuggling migrants into Britain on yacht

Two Ukrainian citizens took part in the court accused of smuggling immigrants to England on one yacht.

37 -year -old Vladyslav Cherniavskyi and 43 -year -old Oleksandr Yavtushenko were accused of illegal migration in Portsmouth Crown Court.

The accusations follow the intervention of a yacht on the shores of Wight in an operation with the Border Power and the French law enforcement, which sees the ship’s Gosport Marina, Hampshire on July 20, accompanying the Gosport Marina, Hampshire.

According to NCA, four immigrants, three Albanians and a Vietnamese female were delivered to immigration authorities.

Judge David Melville KC postponed the hearing until 3 October with a hearing date on January 12th.

He said: “This hearing will be postponed until October 3, and both defendants will be detained.”
