Supersized illegal waste dumps to be cleared under new action plan

Huge tips containing a total of 48,000 tonnes of waste in Wigan, Sheffield and Lancashire have been earmarked for cleanup by the Environment Agency. A 20,000 tonne facility in Kidlington, Oxfordshire, is currently being cleaned at a cost of more than £9 million.
