Supreme Court allows new California congressional districts that favor Democrats

WASHINGTON (AP) — Supreme Court On Wednesday, California has a new voter approved congressional map That favors Democrats in this year’s elections, rejecting last-ditch demands from state Republicans and the Trump administration.

The justices’ unsigned order keeps in place districts designed to hold as many as five seats currently held by Republicans, part of a fierce nationwide redistricting battle spurred by President Donald Trump that has control of Congress at stake in the midterm elections.
