“We heard bombs, we were very close to them. We were tourists, we visited and we are running now. Only terrible. Our flights were canceled and I have to travel with a little baby, just terrible.”
“Our families in Iran are in a peaceful situation for now, but terrible – sometimes they hit Tehran, sometimes they hit Tehran Israel. So all this ends as soon as possible.
The border is found from Yerevan 237 miles (386km), but the driver with wind along a hairpin mountain road takes about 8 hours.
Sputnik Armenia, a Russian state news organization that focuses on the former Soviet Republic, said on Tuesday that the flow of refugees has doubled the ordinary wages for the journey to Evan’s taxi drivers in the nearby town of Meghri.
Most of Iran’s neighbors such as Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq, themselves, fight the internal turbulence, offer a relatively democratic and stable island in a deeply troubled region.
Meanwhile, Iran’s much longer limit with Iran’s neighbor and bitter rival Azerbaijan has been largely closed since Covid Pandemia, although some foreign nationals have been released to Baku with a special arrangement.
