Piers appeared as a guest on the ITV show to talk about Donald Trump, the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files and new legal guidance on single-sex spaces.
Lorraine Kelly joined Piers Morgan and Dr. during Thursday’s show. She squirmed in her seat as Amir clashed angrily over transgender rights and women’s spaces.
As the program descended into chaos, the 65-year-old presenter choked up as the duo continued to talk about him.
People in toilets can be asked if they are male or female, a report published today ruled.
Lorraine said of the news: ‘Oh, that’s going to open a can of worms.’ Piers retorted: ‘Not really, but what is a cisgender woman?’
Lorraine questioned Piers, saying the description was of a biological female: ‘Well, why don’t we call them that? This will solve many problems; You stop calling them stupid names like cisgender.’
Dr. who was also a guest. Amir Khan then interjected: ‘When it comes to these kinds of issues, the reason it’s problematic is because most of these people won’t be trained to ask these kinds of questions…’
Piers then joked: ‘I’ll stand outside the toilet and ask the questions!’
She asked Chief which restroom he used and he made it clear that he preferred the men’s restroom. Piers then asked why and Amir said he ‘identified as male’.
Piers corrected her: ‘No, you don’t identify as male. You are a man. You’re a man, so you use men’s, and so do I.’
Lorraine tried to interject, saying he was using women in the same way men were ‘disgusting’, and Piers roared: ‘So how would you feel if we both walked in there?’

Piers last returned to ITV daytime television last November, where he left Lorraine writhing in her seat as she clashed angrily with Dr Amir.
Lorraine giggled as she replied: ‘I wouldn’t be very happy if I was in the toilet!’
Piers continued: ‘Men should stay out of women’s space and women should stay out of men’s space. “It used to be very simple.”
However, Dr. Khan wasn’t doing any of that and was saying: ‘No, that’s not the outcome! ‘The reason this is a problem is because it will actually endanger women too.’
When Piers emphasized that women were already at risk, Dr Khan asked: ‘From transgender people?’
Piers emphasized that he has “no problem” with trans people and believes they deserve equal rights, but that this should never be “at the expense of women’s rights”.
He raged: ‘We’ve been caught up in this nonsense for too long. Women are women, men are men.
‘My message to trans women is okay, if you want to identify as trans, it’s okay, but don’t enter women’s spaces. You are a biological male.’
As the conversation dragged on, Lorraine begged the pair to drop it.
Elsewhere, Piers joked about ITV’s ‘savage’ cuts after learning Kate Garraway and Richard Madeley were ending their shows.
Lorraine mimicked Piers as he said he could take over from her: ‘Hi Kate, Hi Richard – did you miss me?’ Lorraine added: ‘They’re away, they’re gone!’
‘Where did they go?’ ‘There used to be a bit of bi-directionality,’ he exclaimed. Are these all gone? Aren’t the cuts brutal?’
When it was announced in May that ITV would cut 220 jobs, Lorraine described it as ‘heartbreaking’.
Lorraine’s broadcast has been reduced from one hour to 30 minutes per episode and will only air for 30 weeks per year; The same is said for Loose Women rather than their full-year program.
But like other daytime shows, This Morning’s production team will join those at Lorraine and Loose Women to share resources.
