Suspended jail term for abusive former Miss Australia

A former Miss Australia and former politicians who abused her husband physically and orally for eight years was sentenced to a seven -month imprisonment.
49 -year -old Kathryn Isobel Hay, at that time, checked and scared the partner Troy Richardson and scared and exploited the couple’s two children verbally and physically.
In 1999, HAY crowned the first Achorijin female Miss Tazmanya and Mrs. Australia to win the award and served as a worker deputy in the Parliament of the Ada Province between 2002-06.
In March, he was found guilty of a single emotional abuse or intimidation covering 2014-2022 and 2022.
Hayal was allegedly punching Mr. Richardson in his face, he threw him grain and often abused him online and personally.
Mr. Richardson gave evidence that Saman had hit his face with a shoe several times while driving because he was “he did not do anything right.”
He said he had a threat of violence at least a week and that Hay would give him the lists of things to do.
“If it hadn’t been done properly, I would have abused. If it was finished, it would give me another list.”
In a statement read to court on Friday, Richardson said that he had now experienced stress disorder and severe anxiety after trauma and that his children are struggling with distress.
Mr. Richardson said he was afraid that no one would believe about the abuse that leaves him “completely isolated”.
Simon Brown, a magistrate, has proven the majority of details against Hay, who is currently living in Sydney.
Prosecutor Garth Stevens told the Launceston Magistrate Criminal Court that a psychologist’s report showed a complete lack of ideas about Saman’s illness.
However, Hay’s lawyer Marcia Edwards discussed this interpretation, saying that his client accepted the courts of the court and that it was “more disbelief than a denial”.
Saman, “Did I do this?” Ed Edwards said.
“There was a fight between a husband and wife, the end of a toxic marriage… and the court received an opinion.” He said.
Hay, who was from time to time during the trials, was sentenced to a seven -year prison and was suspended for two and a half years if he did not commit an imprisonment crime.
Mr. Brown said Hay’s behavior is a serious example of family violence, and Mr. Richardson’s time in marriage would be extraordinary difficult.
Mr. Brown said to the court Hay Hay, who suffered from mental health problems, “did not have a real idea of the scope of injustice”.
However, he said that Hay’s childhood was open with family violence and that he had a real problem after his discomfort.
He had lost his contact with his children, had no longer find a meaningful job, and was the subject of the interest of the enormous media.
“His reputation is obviously in Tatter,” Brown said.
Hayed a woman lived in a shelter and was working on himself with free courses because he had no money, Ed Edwards said.
“If there were another relationship, these courses teach you how to behave in an adult world,” he said.
