Guess who’s coming to dinner! Epstein files photo shows ‘wild’ dinner party with Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg and Peter Thiel back in 2015

A photo from the Epstein files shows an intimate 2015 dinner attended by some of Silicon Valley’s most powerful figures; Jeffrey Epstein later boasted that the meeting was “crazy.”

The photo, released by the US Department of Justice, shows Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg sitting at a dinner table with SpaceX boss Elon Musk, PayPal co-founder Peter Thiel and former director of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Media Lab Joi Ito.

The photo was emailed to him by Epstein on Monday, August 3, 2015; Just a day after he boasted about joining tech giants for a lavish dinner.

A framed copy of the photo was also on display in Epstein’s Manhattan apartment.

The dinner took place on August 2, 2015, according to emails on file. That evening, Epstein asked author and physician Peter Attia: ‘Where are you?’ before adding, ‘I might be in Los Angeles on Monday, I might be in Burbank to look at the inside of the other bbj, I might have dinner with Musk, [Pataltr boss Peter] Thiel, Zuckerburg.’

Attia replied enthusiastically: ‘Sounds like a wonderful dinner.’

Epstein later described the meeting as ‘crazy’ in an email to billionaire Tom Pritzker on August 20, 2015; This explanation has reemerged as scrutiny around the financiers’ relationships with powerful figures has intensified.

Those named have since moved to downplay any connection to Epstein, whose social circle was exposed when the Justice Department released more than three million documents related to the disgraced financier. Its inclusion in the photographs published in the Epstein documents is not evidence of any wrongdoing.

Musk, now the richest man in the world, appears repeatedly in the files, including previous email exchanges that suggest a friendly relationship between the two years before their dinner in 2015.

On November 25, 2012, Musk emailed Epstein and asked: ‘What day/night will the craziest party on our island be?’ “Probably just Talulah and me,” he added, referring to his ex-wife, British actress Talulah Riley.

The message was in response to an email Epstein sent the day before, asking: ‘How many people will be on the helicopter heading to the island?’ At the time, Epstein was convicted of sex crimes against minors in Florida.

Later in December 2013, Musk contacted Epstein again to coordinate a possible visit to the financier’s Caribbean island.

“We will be in the BVI/St Bart region over the holidays,” Musk wrote. ‘Is there a good time to visit?’

Epstein said the start of the new year would be ideal, telling Musk that “there’s always room for you.” The pair sent further messages to each other on Christmas Day, with Epstein writing: ‘2 or 3 would be perfect. ‘I’ll come and get you.’

After saying he had to return to Los Angeles on January 2, 2013, Musk suggested flexibility and concluded: ‘When should we go to your island on the 2nd?’

It is not yet known whether Musk participated in this trip, but the emails indicate a cordial relationship between the two men.
