More than 100 survivors of Mohamed Al Fayed’s abuse claim compensation

More than 100 victims of Mohamed Al Fayed’s abuse entered a compensation plan opened by Harrods on March 31 and confirmed the luxury store.

Harrods began to compensate at the end of April, and the plan remained open for new applications until March 31, 2026.

Harrods said that the suitability of the plan was expanded to the employees of Fayed (Jersey) Co Ltd, one of Fayed’s private airline companies.

Harrods also filed a lawsuit in the Supreme Court that he wanted Fayed to replace the performers of Fayed after his lack of “any progress” in solving his work since he died in 2023.

This is to ensure that “the property is responsible for responsible [and to] Harrods, to protect any assets in the property for the benefit of potential plaintiffs, “he said.

BBC, for commenting with the representatives of the Fayed family contacted.

Harrods also “feedback from the survivors, directly or legal firms or independent survivor defender Dame Jasvinder Sanghera will be expressed through the rest,” he said.

More than one woman who died last year for the old store owner accused him of rape and sexual assault.

In March, Harrods said that if the former Harrods owner’s victims of abuse agreed to be evaluated by a consultant psychiatrist, compensation plus treatment costs up to £ 385,000, he said.

Survivors who do not choose to be medically evaluated by a psychiatrist will receive lower payments.

Harrods said individuals can apply for different amounts of compensationIncluding general damages up to £ 200,000 and a total of payment payment of up to £ 150,000.

Most of those who say that they abuse Fayed were medically implemented exams when they are hired. For such tests, compensation may be £ 10,000.

Past treatment costs will also be covered.

Harrods said that a appropriate applicant should not be a Harrods employee, but his claims should contain a “enough connection”.

Those who claim to have been attacked outside the UK under “sufficiently linked conditions” to Fayed’s role in Harrods may also be appropriate for compensation.

BBCs Al Fayed: Predator in Harrods In Harrods, more than 20 women testified from the former employees, Fayed said that he had been sexually assaulted or raped.

Duzines women sent abuse accounts to BBC by Fayed, including sexual harassment, sexual assault and rape, after the documentary and podcast was published in September.

Documentary and Podcast found that Harrods could not only intervene during Fayed’s ownership, but also helped to overlap the claims of abuse.

At that time, the existing owners of Harrods, who responded to the investigation, said that the store was “completely horrified and that their victims failed – the store sincerely apologized.

Fayed was not accused before his death.
