Sydney Sweeney She was once told to “fix” her face if she wanted to make it in Hollywood.

In a new interview with DiversityThe 28-year-old actress, who is currently promoting her upcoming movie “Christy,” recalled a time early in her career when she was advised to get Botox when she was just 16 years old.

“I have very strong eyebrow muscles,” he said, recalling the various auditions he attended in his youth. “And someone told me to fix my face or I won’t make it. I should get Botox. I was 16! Or I’m at a casting and the casting director is eating a bag of chips and I’m like, ‘You’re not paying any attention.'”

Elsewhere in the interview, Sweeney talked about how she navigates Hollywood both on and off the big screen, and explained how she ignores criticism about her appearance.

“I’m definitely a caged animal in a way,” trailblazing boxer Christy Martin said of her character. “Acting is my ring. It’s where I feel freedom. The set is where everything else becomes quiet.”

Off the movie set, where Sweeney faced various challenges, including ongoing conversations about her body.

“I play a lot of divisive characters, and I think a lot of people think they know me, but they don’t,” he said. “When people think, ‘Oh, she’s a sex symbol’ or ‘She’s trending towards that,’ I say, ‘No, I feel good, I’m doing this for me and I feel powerful.'”

“And I hope I can inspire other women to be confident, show off what they have, and feel good about themselves because you shouldn’t have to apologize, hide, or cover up in any room,” she added.

Sweeney recently turned heads when she arrived at the “Christy” premiere with a bob haircut.

In an interview with VogueThe hair team, colorist Jacob Schwartz and hairstylist Glen Coco, talked about the transformation.

“Sydney was looking for a change and wanted to have a big hair moment on the red carpet in support of her new movie, Christy,” Schwartz said. “It felt like the perfect time to do something bold.”

“It’s a transformation,” Coco added. “Christy has a lot of underlying undertones of resilience, transformation, and strength. Sydney transformed herself for this role, and I wanted to transform her into this updated version of herself in real life. Something new and fresh to close out the rest of the year.”

New haircut comes months after Sweeney canceled her engagement to his long-time partner, filmmaker Jonathan Davino, 41.

“Euphoria” star reveals she’s single and no longer planning a wedding London Times, ended months of speculation that she and Davino had split.

“I’m learning a lot about myself by spending more time with my friends. And I love it,” she said.

Sweeney has reportedly since moved on to a “casual” date with Scooter Braun.
