“We will have to do [ramp up] Safety, Cop Copeland said. We will do Babar Azam here at the same time, which will be incredible for the tournament.
“I definitely hope that this is a catalyst, not just for retired players to do this. This summer we have an opportunity and we are in front of this tail. Ashwin will be a great advocate about how wonderful our tournament is and a thunder environment.”
When Ashwin is asked if any VIP treatment will be given, Copeland: “Thunder has a history with this [with] Chris Gayle. I know when he was here, he stayed in a supreme loft, but not when he was playing in the tournament, when he was a general manager and looking at the budget.
“What we want to be sure is that he and all other overseas players are once here. We will look at them, that’s for sure.”

After playing at Dubai -based ILT20, which lasted until January 5, he will join the thunder.

Ashwin’s signature sounds like the Australian cricket considering to privatize BBL. Copeland argued that the agreement has proved that the league can still attract global stars.
“I don’t think we are a broken product independent of Ashwin or anything else, Cop said Copeland. “I think the people of the people, such as Babar Azam and Ravi Ashwin, are starting to see that big players, who are the best players in the world, come here and try to play in this tournament.”
