This Indian state bans sale of non-veg, eggs for two days due to…; not UP, Bihar, Maharashtra

Since the eggs are generally considered separately from meat in dietary practices, the movement led to discussion.
Rajasthan Autonomic Governance Department issued an order to close all non -vegetarian stores, slaughterhouses and 28 August (Paryushan Festival) and 6 September (Anant Chaturdashi).
The directive, which is released on Monday, will affect thousands of sellers and consumers in Rajasthan. Traditionally, the Rajasthan government closed one -day slaughterhouses and meat shops at these festivals every year. However, the egg was never included in the restriction. This year, after some repeated demands from some religious and community organizations, the government decided to extend the ban to egg shops and cars.
Why did this movement lead to discussion
Since the eggs are generally considered separately from meat in dietary practices, the movement led to discussion. According to Jaipur Municipality, more than 1000 egg shops and street carts operate in the capital, except for thousands of people in other regions. These sellers, many of which rely on daily sales, are expected to be significantly affected.
The order received mixed reactions. While some religious organizations welcomed the decision, they are called one step to promote disgusting and spiritual discipline, while many trades and consumers expressed their concerns about the restrictions on personal food choices and potential financial losses for small sellers.
What do the authorities say
Authorities said that the name aims to encourage vegetarianism during religious observations and to respond to the emotions of Hindu and Jain communities. “The Emir reflects cultural respect and helps to deter him persecution,” an official said.

Online food distribution platforms
The administration instructed the local organs to ensure that the order is strictly implemented. Online food distribution platforms were also observed to prevent indirect sales of non -vegetarian food products at that time. With this directive, Rajasthan becomes one of the few states that include eggs under prohibitions related to such festival.
The real effect will be seen later this week while shopping the shutters in Paryushan. It should be noted that Paryushan is one of the most important Jain festivals observed through fasting, prayers and solid vegetarianism, emphasizing violence and forgiveness. Meanwhile, Anant Chaturdashi is a Hindu festival that marks the result of the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, where the idols of Lord Ganesha were immersed in the field and prayers.
