New Nancy Guthrie ransom note claims to have VIDEO of Savannah’s abducted mom with ‘main guy’ on day she ‘died’

A man who claims he knows who kidnapped Nancy Guthrie says he has video of her killers from the day she died and will offer them “on a silver platter.”

Guthrie, the mother of NBC News Today anchor Savannah Guthrie, was abducted from her home in Tucson, Arizona, on the night of February 1.

In the weeks that followed, media outlets began receiving encrypted ransom notes; some claimed to know his whereabouts and demanded millions of dollars.

Police and the FBI combed them for clues, but almost five months later there was still no sign of the missing grandmother.

Initial messages from the sender said Guthrie was ‘safe but scared’ and agreed to return him if the family paid $4 million in Bitcoin by 5pm on February 5.

He added that if the ransom is not paid by February 9, this figure will ‘otherwise’ rise to $6 million.

Then, on February 6, an ‘apology’ note arrived at the Guthrie family home, coming from the same IP address as these initial, seemingly reliable emails.

It was stated that Guthrie was killed accidentally, and his body was offered to be delivered to the family for 4 million dollars.

FBI uncovers doorbell camera footage of a masked person at Nancy’s front door

Reports of these emails did not surface until this week, and in response, gossip site TMZ received another email with new allegations.

The author claimed there were two kidnappers and that the “real man” hid a video of Guthrie with her on the day of her death in a hidden phone.

‘I have a phone stored in a safe place that guarantees both the information it stores and the security of the phone.’ TMZ says email was read.

‘What it contains is my description of presenting them on a silver platter, a short video of the main man with Nancy on what is probably her last day, photographs of both, their names, addresses and ages.’

‘Location’ explained in email [is] It’s easy to access if you know where it is’ and will reveal it along with the password in exchange for a large Bitcoin payment.

He also insisted that he was not the person who told the volunteer group Buscando Corazones Nogales that Guthrie was buried near the U.S.-Mexico border.

The tip prompted the organization to search the area it specified near Nogales, but nothing was found.

‘I’m not the idiot who recently reported on the grave site in Mexico,’ the email sent to TMZ read.

Nancy was last seen being dropped off at her house after dinner on January 31.

A masked man was caught on camera walking to a home in Arizona’s Catalina Foothills, the neighborhood where Nancy Guthrie was kidnapped on April 29.

As the investigation into Nancy’s disappearance continues, federal authorities are re-examining the letters for any clues to the identity of her kidnapper.

They note that the ransom letters show that the kidnapper was forthright and knowledgeable about the intricacies of cryptocurrency.

Their apology also shows that the kidnapper was a local opportunist and not the cold-hearted cartel member they initially feared.

Authorities are also investigating the possibility that the kidnapper may have had an accomplice, a masked man who was seen trying to remove Nancy’s Nest’s doorbell camera the night he disappeared.

Federal investigators say the masked man’s clumsy attempt to remove or conceal the doorbell camera doesn’t fit the profile of an outspoken and cunning suspect.

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos has previously said no footage was available because Nancy did not have a subscription to Google’s video storage service, which typically keeps recorded clips in the cloud.

The FBI was able to obtain days of doorbell camera footage by accessing residual data stored on back-end servers.

Additional video released by authorities shows the person trying to cover the lens with his fist, then searching the area around the door, plucking a bunch of flowers from the entryway and waving them at the camera.

In another clip shared by the FBI, the person was seen leaning in and bowing their head as they first approached the door.

There are no publicly disclosed suspects in the case.

Investigators uncovered only limited physical evidence, including a single strand of hair and a glove found near Nancy’s home.

DNA evidence found near the crime scene was first processed at a private laboratory in Florida and then subjected to extensive testing at the FBI crime laboratory.

But Arizona’s Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said “testing is moving at a snail’s pace.”

Authorities believe Nancy was kidnapped, abducted, or otherwise taken against her will after finding blood on her doorstep.

The Guthrie family is offering a reward of up to $1 million for information leading to Nancy’s recovery.
