Man charged after allegedly threatening Andrew Mountbatten Windsor near home on Sandringham Estate

A man has been charged after allegedly threatening Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor near his home on Sandringham Estate.

The incident happened shortly after 7.30pm on Wednesday in Wolferton, as the former Duke of York was walking his dogs near his estate at Marsh Farm. Telegram reported.

Alex Jenkinson, 39, of Stowmarket, Suffolk, was charged with two counts of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behavior to harass someone or cause alarm or distress.

He is also accused of not providing a blood sample while in custody.

Officers had responded to a report of a man acting “in an intimidating manner in the village”.

Jenkinson was arrested and questioned at King’s Lynn Police Investigation Centre.

He is in custody and will appear at Norwich Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
