Israel Targets Hezbollah’s Number Two Man In Beirut | World News

Tel Aviv: Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office confirmed that Israel targeted Haytham Ali Tabatabai, Hezbollah’s top commander and number two man, in Beirut.

Tabatabai is considered Hezbollah’s de facto chief of staff and the group’s second most senior figure after secretary-general Naim Qasim.

It was unclear whether Tabatabai survived the attack. The USA had previously offered a reward of $5 million for information about Tabatabai, who commanded the terrorist organization’s special forces in Syria and Yemen.
