Nikki Haley urges Trump to threaten Russia, China with ‘force’ to weaken Iran

Former US Amb. Speaking to the United Nations, Nikki Haley said President Donald Trump should take a tougher stance against Russia and China to further weaken Iran and claimed that he was threatening them with “force”.

His remarks on “The Story” came as Trump vowed to hit Iran “hard” again after US forces launched an attack on the country over the downing of a US helicopter.

“I think Trump was absolutely right to say, ‘We’re going to hit them,’ especially after they came after us. But let’s go one step further and go after China and Russia,” the former South Carolina governor said Wednesday. he said.

Haley said Russia and China provide Iran with military assets such as unmanned aerial vehicles and satellite images, and argued that Trump should threaten the world superpowers with “force” if this support continues.

“When we go after China and Russia, hold them accountable, and tell them to stop, that’s when we’ll start to see Iran really weaken,” he added.

Haley said U.S. pressure on Iran should extend beyond Tehran to the regime’s allies, including Russia and China, which she accuses of aiding Iran’s war effort.

Haley said Iran was willing to endure “a lot of pain” to maintain its pre-war position in the Strait of Hormuz and maintain its capabilities to develop nuclear weapons.

The diplomat also noted that Iran may use negotiations to buy time as the conflict drags on, and that they are likely “developing a strategy.”

“The truth is that Iran never had any intention of negotiating,” Haley said. “They’ve done this so many times. They stall. They make you think they’re going to do something. Just when you think you’ve reached an agreement, they throw cold water on you. And then they’re constantly strategizing.”

The former South Carolina governor called on the United States and Israel to finish the job as the war dragged on for the past three months.

“I think Israel and the United States have done a great job of weakening Iran,” Haley said. “And now they have to finish what they started.”
