Jaiswal Will Score the Most Runs in This Test, Says Abhishek Nayar

Talking about ‘Game Plan’, JioStar expert Abhishek Nayar talked about KL Rahul’s approach:
“KL Rahul knows the Delhi pitch well and has scored over 500 runs in the IPL. One of the biggest changes in him is not his technique but his approach; he plays with more determination now. In the last match, despite scoring a century after nine years, he looked frustrated knowing that he could score 150-200. This hunger will not stop. Once KL gets going, it does not stop.”
On Sai Sudharsan’s opportunity:
“Sai Sudharsan will not get a better chance than this. This will be a good batting pitch, without much bounce. It is a fast outfield and a small ground, so if he doesn’t run now, questions will definitely arise. Especially when Dhruv Jurel is playing well as wicketkeeper-batsman. When Rishabh Pant comes back, the only position that will come under scrutiny in this team will be Sai Sudharsan’s. He will know that. The batting is big for him.” “It is important and he will want to evaluate it.”
On Jasprit Bumrah’s workload:
“I think Bumrah will play this Test. Judging by the fact that the team has been selected without Bumrah for the ODI series against Australia, it looks like India want to win this test against the West Indies by a good margin, which is important for the WTC. I personally believe Bumrah should be rested because he is extremely valuable. After this series we have another Test series and then the T20 World Cup. I would like to see him get some rest but it looks like he won’t and It’s not like he’s going to do it. Play this match.”
On Dhruv Jurel’s maturity:
“India has a lot of players who score runs, but how you score those runs is important. In the first match, Dhruv Jurel impressed everyone with his control and technique. He made you believe that he was born for Test level cricket. When you score runs like that, an eye-pleasing 60, 70 or 80, it gives you and everyone around you confidence that you belong at that level.”
On Kuldeep Yadav’s impact:
“Kuldeep will enjoy playing in Delhi. He loves playing here. In fact, it was in Delhi where his IPL career really took off. The skid he has achieved here makes him more effective on this field. He needs to make an impact in this Test season and the upcoming matches against South Africa. If any foreign team comes to India, Kuldeep Yadav should definitely play.”
On Yashasvi Jaiswal’s hunger:
“In my opinion, Jaiswal will score the most runs in this Test. He is that kind of player; once he gets going, he is unstoppable. He will go hungry after not getting a big score in the first Test. He has seen everyone else making runs and he must be thinking that I am going to bat big in the next five days.”
