Patriots’ Christian Barmore hit with assault charges one day after Stefon Diggs

Another New England Patriots star has found himself facing legal trouble.
Christian Barmore is charged with assault, just one day after it was revealed that Stefon Diggs was accused of disruptive behavior.
Barmore is accused of assaulting a person he was in a relationship with in August in Mansfield, Massachusetts, according to court records obtained by Fox News Digital.

The alleged victim claimed that he and Barmore argued about the temperature in the room and the food.
Barmore allegedly grabbed the victim’s phone as he tried to leave. The alleged victim then “intended to open the door and call for help, but Christian grabbed her before she could and threw her to the ground.” Barmore then allegedly grabbed the victim by the shirt near his neck. Barmore also allegedly told the victim that he was going to “f—” his cousin. [her] above.”
“[Victim] She worries that she might hire someone who will harm her and make her life difficult. [Victim] A police report obtained by Fox News Digital said she had heard Christian threaten people before and say he could hire anyone with the money he had. “About a week later, [Victim] she sent me some text messages between her and Christian. “These were older messages, but she wanted me to see them because she said they showed what she was capable of, especially when it came to someone hurting her.”
Barmore was charged with one count of assault and battery on a family member/family member. The alleged victim also said she no longer wanted to be associated with Barmore.

Barmore is scheduled to be arraigned on Feb. 3, five days before Super Bowl LX. The Patriots could take first place in the AFC this weekend.
“The New England Patriots are aware of reports regarding a pending hearing in February involving Christian Barmore, stemming from an alleged domestic incident that occurred in August. The Patriots were notified of the incident at the time and notified the NFL in a timely manner,” the team said in a statement. he said. “The matter remains part of the ongoing legal process. We will respect that process, continue to monitor the situation closely as we have for the past several months, and cooperate fully with the league. We will have no further comment at this time.”

News of Barmore’s accusations comes just a day after Diggs’ teammate allegedly strangled his female supervisor over money earlier this month. The woman told police Diggs “slapped her in the face,” tried to push her and then “tried to strangle her with his elbow around her neck.”
