Electric cars eligible for new government grants revealed

The first electric car models for the new government grants appeared.
The discount will be applied automatically at the sales point.
These are the first models approved under the new 650 million £ electric car grant.
This will allow drivers who purchase a new electric car depending on sustainability criteria to save $ 1,500 or $ 3,750.
It is hoped that the measure will encourage more drivers to switch to electric vehicles.
The Ministry of Transport (DFT) said drivers can save £ 1,500 by purchasing new Citroen E-C3, E-C4, E-C5 and E-Berlingo cars.
DFT will reduce the preliminary costs of many drivers as a “lock obstacle ve and the grant will reduce prices, so that they will fall for“ gasoline and diesel colleagues more closely ”.
Transportation Secretary Heidi Alexander said: “Today, we provide a cheaper, easier and more reality for thousands of people throughout England this summer when the first four models are approved and more for the next few weeks.

“Once again, we present our change plan by standing next to drivers and manufacturers, reducing costs for consumers, supporting jobs and putting money in people’s pockets.”
Citroen UK General Manager Greg Taylor said: “We want everyone to have the opportunity to switch to an electric car, and these support cars will help our customers more accessible.”
AA President Edmund King said, ın any government support is welcomed to increase the demand for the homes: “For some more affordable houses, a discount of £ 1,500 will help some of those who have more strict budgets.
“We look forward to seeing the full list of discounts up to $ 3,750 in more models to really advance the market.”
Dan Caesar, General Manager of Lobby Group Electric Vehictles UK, welcomed the announcement and called for the manufacturers to support a plan that should be successful in the home industry.
Under the authority of the government’s zero emission vehicle (ZEV), at least 28 percent of new cars sold by every manufacturer in the UK this year should be zero emissions, which often means pure electricity.
In all manufacturers, the figure in the first half of the year was 21.6 percent.
Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer announced that new hybrid sales that cannot be stuck in April will be allowed to continue until 2035.
Changes in Zev authority mean that manufacturers who do not meet their goals will be easier to avoid fines.
