IISER-Tirupati gets ready to conduct its sixth convocation on August 5

The Indian Science Education and Research Institute (IISER), Tirupati is ready to hold the sixth meeting on Tuesday (August 5th).
Starting only with a BS-MS program in 2015, the Institute rapidly expanded to offer a series of courses such as integrated doctoral and doctorate, as well as hosting post-doctoral research friends. In addition, it has a four-year license in the field of Economic and Statistical Sciences (BS-EESS) and two-year MS (Masters) program since August 2025.
A total of 255 students will graduate this year, 22 from PHD, 8 from I-PHD, 3 from MS-MS, 141 from BS-MS, 69 from Professional Masters, six from BS and six from BSC.
IISER Director Santanu Bhattacharya, who interacted with the media on Sunday, said that the institute’s H-Endex is currently at 57 and is 17.256 with cumulative quotes. Nature Index-2025 ranked 33rd among the academic institutions in India.
Bhattacharya, “Iiser-Tirmiupati, Heidelberg University and the University of Cologne strengthened international ties, but soon we are starting an academic program with Melbourne University,” he said.
The National Institute was also connected to the University of Buffalo, the US and Australian National University (ANU), and thus created many opportunities for its students.
Similarly, the extramural research financing doubled compared to the previous year and touched 29.43 Crore.
