Man hurt after vehicle falls from car park

Emergency services were called to London Luton Airport at 11:00.

A man was subjected to serious injuries after a vehicle falling from a multi -storey parking lot in London Luton Airport.

Emergency services were called to the parking lot shortly after 11:00 and the police said that a person was seriously injured and taken to hospital.

An airport spokesman confirmed that they had been hospitalized for “more evaluation”.

Bedfordshire police, ambulance and firefighters, as well as officers are still at the scene, he said.

It is understood that the relevant vehicle has fallen from the upper level of the parking lot.

The photos showed a missing barrier at the third level of the multi -storey building.

Police called on any witness to contact

In a statement, the airport said: “Incoming vehicles, until the next announcement is directed to the parking lot of the airport.

“There is no deterioration in wider airport operations.”

Frank Brown was told that his vehicle was moved after the incident

Frank Brown, after returning from Barcelona was told that his vehicle was moved to the parking lot in the middle.

He said: “There was no information about what happened. They said it was an event, but they did not go into details.”

A crane is used as part of the repair work at the airport

Eastern British ambulance service sent a series of teams to the region.

One spokesman, “an ambulance, an ambulance officer vehicle, fast intervention vehicle, dangerous area intervention team and bed and herts critical maintenance plan was sent to the scene.” He said.

Bedfordshire called the police to contact any witnesses with power.
