According to Daily Star, Yunus said, “Oh dear Osman Hadi, we did not come here to say goodbye to you. You are in our hearts and you will remain in the hearts of all Bangladeshis as long as Bangladesh exists. No one can take you out from there. Today, millions of people have gathered and come in waves, while millions of people living in Bangladesh and abroad are waiting for this moment to listen to Hadi.” he said.

“Your love for humanity, your way of living, your dialogues with people, your political perspective are praised by everyone. We accept these. You gave us such a mantra that this nation will never forget. This will echo in our ears forever.”
Referring to what he described as Hadi’s “mantra”, Yunus said that he and the people of Bangladesh will demonstrate this through their actions. He underlined that the country will move forward with confidence and dignity without bowing to pressure.
“We will walk with our heads held high in front of the world. We will not bow down to anyone,” he said.
Yunus said, “You wanted to participate in the election, and while doing so, you showed us how the election campaign should be conducted. You taught us everything, and we accepted this teaching. You will not disappear. No one will forget you. You will remain among us for centuries, reminding us of your mantra again and again.”
