Man accused of breaking into homes, climbing into beds of Beaverton women as they slept

PORTLAND, ore. (KOIN) — Authorities are seeking additional information about a man accused of climbing into Beaverton women’s beds while they slept.

The Beaverton Police Department says a Washington County grand jury indicted suspect Christopher Rydman on Oct. 17. The 37-year-old man now faces charges of private indecency, first-degree sexual abuse and three counts of first-degree burglary.

According to BPD, surveillance footage shows the 37-year-old man was caught checking the door handles of several homes in Central Beaverton throughout the night on Wednesday, Oct. 8. Investigators found that Rydman climbed into the beds of women sleeping in at least two separate homes.

Authorities said the suspect was wearing a black San Francisco Giants sweatshirt, gray T-shirt, red basketball shorts, dark gray knee-high socks, black-and-white Vans sneakers and a black baseball cap, and was carrying a black backpack.

Beaverton police are asking anyone with additional information about the incidents or who recognizes Rydman to contact detectives.
