Super Bowl 2026 predictions: Who will win, Seahawks or Patriots? Who will win MVP?

Prediction Seahawks 17-20 Patriots

Seattle has lost three games this season by a combined nine points, but someone has to root for the Patriots, right? And the underdogs have won four of the last five Super Bowls.

I don’t think they can win a shootout, but I don’t expect a shootout with these two defenses – although I’d like them to score first because Seattle is 11-0 this season when the score comes first.

Listen, I wouldn’t be surprised by a dominant Seahawks win, but I feel like Vrabel and Josh McDaniels can pull something out of the bag with all their experience.

The Pats are 12-0 and allow just 14.5 points per game with defensive-destroying Milton Williams and cornerback Christian Gonzalez on the floor together, and both will play on Sunday.

And if it’s close to going down, then just one game will do. Give me Pats on a nail biter.

MVP: Milton Williams

Let’s face it, this isn’t a quarterback award, but I’ll pick the 10th defensive player to win the MVP award after rooting for a low-scoring upset win. Von Miller was the last person to wear all white in the same stadium! Aside from the signs, Williams had a couple of sacks and a forced fumble and recovery against Patrick Mahomes for the Eagles last year, and in a tight contest something similar could have made the difference.

Prediction Seahawks 24-13 Patriots

Seattle’s stellar defense, known as the Dark Side, was the main topic of discussion during Super Bowl week. Drake Maye has shown the ability to tackle and escape pressure, but I think the Seahawks will create too much tension and stifle the Patriots quarterback.

He already has the second-most sacks in a postseason (15) and I believe Seattle will push him to surpass Joe Burrow’s record tally of 19.

New England’s defense isn’t too shabby either, so I expect this to be a tight, low-scoring affair before Seattle gets a clean break late in the third quarter or early in the fourth quarter.

MVP: Leonard Williams

Nearly 17 Seattle players have recorded at least half a sack this season, and their interior defense has been particularly aggressive. Tackle Leonard Williams recorded eight sacks and 33 quarterback pressures, so I’m rooting for the 13-year veteran to emerge from the Dark Side and become a rare defensive MVP.
