Weeks after saying that the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs was willing to argue with the new Delhi in a favorable environment with Dakka, Bangladesh Provisional Government President Muhammad Yunus is trying to improve relations with India. 1000 kilograms of famous ‘Haribhanga’ a shipment containing a various mango, Bangladesh’ten was sent as a goodwill gesture between two neighboring countries. According to an official at the Bangladesh Supreme Commission in the Indian capital, Mangos will reach the new Delhi on Monday.
Dakka’s ‘Mango Diplomacy’
The Bangladesh government, led by Yunus, sent a mango to the Western Bengal Prime Minister Mamata Bannerjee and Tripura Cm Manic Field. Both states share their borders with Bangladesh. Haribhanga is an important type of premium mango from Bangladesh. Dakka’s Mango Movement is seen as an attempt to improve its ties with India, which has been south of the dolphin government in recent months. Interestingly, Mango sending application has been a long -term tradition on the Indian sub -continent, which is often called “mango diplomacy”.
India-Bangladesh Relations
The relations between the new Delhi and Dakka became sour after the protests of the former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina last year after the protests led by the great student last year and then escaped to India. PM Modi and Yunus recently met on the sides of the Bimstec Summit in Thailand in April and marked his first percentage interactions since the collapse of the Hasina government. At the meeting, the Prime Minister reiterated India’s democratic, stable, peaceful, progressive and inclusive Bangladesh support.
