Suspended TMC MLA Humayun Kabir’s Wife Show-Caused for Filling Govt Water Body in Rejinagar

Berhampore: Following the seizure of Humayun Kabir’s daughter properties, the current Murshidabad district land and land reform department on Wednesday issued a show-cause notice against Meera Sultana, wife of suspended TMC Bharatpur MLA and founder president of Janata Unnayan party Humayun Kabir. Sources said Murshidabad district land and land reforms office has issued a show-cause notice against Meera Sultana, who illegally forcibly filled a government-controlled water lake and converted the land and built a house on nearly one bigha of property in Manikyahar village in Murshidabad’s Rejinagar assembly area. The land reform department issued a show-cause notice and asked the government to respond within seven days if it was not satisfied with its reply that the house could be seized. However, Humayun Kabir argued that this was nothing but revenge as they could not fight him politically.
